Summary: Kyoko Mogami is the childhood friend of superstar Sho Fuwa. Kyoko was so mindlessly in love with Sho that she followed him to the city on his quest to become a famous singer. But she soon realizes Sho was only using her as his personal maid to take care of household chores and pay for rent. Heart-broken, Kyoko won't suffer in silence--she's going to get her sweet revenge by beating Sho in show biz!

A funny and entertaining romance story of a "diamond in the rough" trying to find her place in showbiz, and the mysterious pasts of the people around her.

Kyoko is a great character and I love how she develops as the story progresses. I'm really curious about Kyoko's past and the reasons behind her mother's treatment towards her. I really liked the anime too though I wished there were more episodes, hopefully there will be a second season sometime soon.

Ahhhh my favorite! It's like the best shoujo that's not cliche at all! I love how she turns into different characters~ It turns on the suspense mode and well at least I don't know what will happen next xD

I haven't seen the anime~ is it any good? Oh and what chapter is the recent one? I stopped somewhere in the middle since I had to study (max mode) x.x Now, I can study (min mode) lol xD

The anime was good, but I felt the manga was better. Mainly because the anime was such a tiny bit of the manga.

Also, it's harder to replicate all the manga cute effects like screentones and backgrounds in an anime without making it look too silly, but that's the charm of manga.

And also since I envisioned the colours of Kyouko's dresses to be totally different it made me slightly put off. Haha.

Skip Beat is one of my favourites!! =D It's kinda long, but I love the transformations that Kyoko-chan makes (i.e. her roles as an actress..from mature beauty to innocent maiden..and so much more)..she's awesome! =)

Does this only include the general opinion of the series or can we discuss recent chapters, because quite frankly there's a lot to be said about what's been recently happening in the series.

This serie is hilarious! Similar to Glass Mask but super funny in many ways. Its also just as long and that makes at time pretty tired of waiting but its really worth it. Its interesting when you read manga about acting, because you get to see the new sides of a character all the time.

Hmmm... i have a mixed feeling about this manga. I really love it but the storyline is too dragging. On the other hand I will be very very sad if it ends now.

Wow, it's one of my favorite manga. It's really funny, i alway laugh when i read a chapter. Kyoko is awesome. I read 26 volumes without realising!!!

Another thing that I like about this manga is how the art doesn't change even though it's been going on for over 20 volumes. I know of another who's art just went downhill as the series progressed.

I like this manga but I hope that the story will move forward. It seems like the story is going around in circles (at the moment). I just hope that it wont keep going without the story progressing anywhere.

i really like this manga but its really long. It has a really interesting storyline that is pretty different so i keep reading it

This is one of my all time favourites I just love Kyoko and her little devils :D. I don't think that the pace is slow is just how it has to be, but it is true that I don't like to wait for new chapters :(

I personally like the manga more than anime. It's different to most manga I've read, is interesting as the characters interact.

It seems that the story starts to move because the author begins to reveal the past of Ren. Even though there is to know many things such as what happened in the house before or during Show and Kyoko Absence? or what will happen with Kyoko's mom? etc. if it is relevant.

I just hope not too many volumes ...

this is one of the manga i picked up at age 15 thats when i read or at least started reading manga all thanks to Skip Beat!

i read only written summaries on this one website someone use to update but stopped and when i read the summaries up to ch.55 i think i could find anything else to read and then i started to search it was hard very hard as i never liked reading comic in the Newspaper and the boxes with drawing looked like would take a while to read was making think twice but since i already got hooked to Skip Beat i thought y not give it a try and man i was like DRUGGED to Manga and anime.

Right now this is in my top three mangas. I love the character, the humor, the art, the plot - everything about Skip Beat keeps me enthralled. It's getting particulary interesting now with the brother and sister routine that Kyouko and Ren are having to play. I can't wait to see where Nakamura-sensei takes it!

I absolutely love this series and waiting for the next chapter all the time is killing me! I can live with slow romance and I'm used to having to wait 10 chapters before the most pressing issue is solved; and because I've come to terms with the fact that that's the was this series is written, the wait is more fun than frustrating. I never want the series to end.
