| Hmm... I like Kahlan Amnell from the Sword of Truth book series :) She's really strong and clever and... she's just awesome <3 She doesn't act like damsel in distress even when she has to be rescued (oh, how I want to kill every damsel in distress!)
It's hard to find good characters from anime/manga that I can think of right now x.x

| The Millennium Trilogy by... A Swedish guy, I totally blanked .__. The female lead is such a badass! Gosh, she tasered 2 guys that were stalking her... Too bad she got *ehem* during the series.
